A note from Anne
From as early as I can remember Kris Kristofferson has played a major part in my musical life. His words and music touched every corner of my soul and helped me through many a lonely night and deal with troubled times. Kris was the person I fashioned my own songwriting after and he put the music in my heart. I had the pleasure of seeing him perform live in Ottawa, Canada 20 years ago and my poetry and songwriting inspiration began.
Then, 18 months ago, the music left me and a light was turned out in my soul. While I carried on, I never sang another note or put pen to paper to write another word. My radio and stereo fell silent because I was not ready to deal with the loss of the music and all that that entailed.
Again, Kris' song "The Taker" explains more than I can.

On Sunday, March 26, 2006, I went with my sister to see Kris perform in an intimate concert at Convocation Hall at the University of Toronto. While sitting in the audience watching this incredible human being perform and tell his musical stories, I felt the light slowly turn on again in my soul. How amazing and spellbinding that the very man who turned the musical light on for me 20 years ago, was the only one who could turn it on again.
